My Georgia trip this past weekend also had a Savannah leg to it. In fact, I did Savannah first. Sorry this is out of chronological order – I just liked my Atlanta run a whole lot better than the Savannah run.
A lot of that had to do with the fact that I chose to go to Savannah on St Patrick’s Day weekend – and stay right in the middle of all the parade route. I had to rush around to get the run in and check out of my hotel so I wouldn’t get trapped in by the closed streets so I missed a lot of stuff.

But – jeez Savannah is such a beautiful city! And supposedly America’s most haunted city. I dropped in on a ghost tour the night before my run and heard some grisly shit about a colonial woman who was hanged because she had a baby out of wedlock. I guarantee there was some old timey MAGA bro to blame for the whole situation. All the ghost talk / St Patrick’s Day partying inspired my lil celebration pin – a lil Irish nerd ghost. Boo!
